Join Amy in her cosy Margate studio for a private one-to-one workshop.

Amy has been classically trained at the London School of Mosaic, and will give you a basic introduction to Roman, Byzantine & neo-classical methods and materials.
​
You'll then spend the day working on your own small mosaic with Amy walking you through the process step by step. You'll have access to Amy's vast selection of un-glazed ceramic and vitreous glass tiles, and can create a design of your own or ask Amy to create a custom design for you prior to the workshop.

Your finished mosaic will be approximately 15 to 20 cm (depending on your design) and can be finished with picture hooks ready for displaying on the wall at home.

Throughout the day you'll learn how to:

- develop your design
- understand the principles of andamento
- work with unglazed-ceramic & vitreous glass
- choose the right tiles and colours for your design
- use traditional tools to cut and shape your tiles
- different methods of application
- how to grout your finished mosaic

Lunch and refreshments will be provided by Amy at her studio.
