Mosaic Sign  Workshop

Join Amy in her cosy Margate studio to make your own small mosaic sign.​​​

​

Prior to the workshop Amy will give you a selection of traditional and contemporary fonts to choose from, and will create your custom lettering. You also have the option of creating your own lettering to bring along on the day.

 

During the workshop, you'll transfer your design onto a wooden base and choose from Amy's collection of unglazed-ceramic and vitreous glass tiles. Amy will teach you how to cut and shape your tiles using mosaic nippers, and how to apply the tesserae to your design using the direct-method.

 

At the end of the session you'll grout your finished mosaic, ready to take home. It can be fitted with picture hooks ready to hang on the wall.

Sizes of signs will vary depending on design, but can be up to 30cm x 20cm.
