1 Day Workshop
Small Group

Join Amy in her Margate studio to learn the fundamentals of mosaics.

​​

You'll spend the day working on your own 15 cm mosaic using the direct method on wood. You'll be working with un-glazed ceramic and vitreous glass, with a wide range of colours to choose from.​

​

You can bring along your own design, choose from a selection of designs provided, or ask Amy prior to the workshop to find something specific for you.

​

Throughout the day you'll learn how to:

​

- develop your design for mosaic

- understand the principles of andamento

- choose the right tiles and colours for your design

- use traditional tools to cut and shape your tiles

- grout your finished mosaic

​

Small group of 6 people maximum.

​

10 am - 6 pm 

​

Hot drinks & snacks provided while you work.
